Manchester United target Renato Sanches is planning to stay at Bayern Munich.
The midfielder moved to the German champions last summer from Benfica for an initial fee of around £27.5m, but he has struggled to make an impact under Carlo Ancelotti.
It has led to claims the Portugal international may look to leave during the current transfer window, particularly following the arrival of fellow midfielder Corentin Tolisso from Lyon.
Manchester United were interested in Sanches last summer and Jose Mourinho is said to be still keen on bringing him to Old Trafford.
But the 19-year-old has now revealed he is not pushing to leave Bayern any time soon.
“Of course Bayern Munich is a great club and I really enjoy being there. In principle, I will stay there,” Sanches is quoted as saying by TMW.
“But if I do not stay at Bayern I will not be discouraged either. I will continue working as usual.
“Of course I need to play more, playing more I have more confidence. Let’s see what it gives.”
