Manchester United chief Ed Woodward says they’re delighted with their summer market work.
The executive vice-chairman addressed club investors today, giving a glowing account of United ‘s financial state.
United manager Jose Mourinho added Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof to his squad in the summer with Lukaku and Matic making an instant impact.
“We are pleased the club has made excellent progress on a number of fronts,” said Woodward.
“We’re pleased with our transfer business in the summer. We believe we have improved the balance and depth of our squad.
“We brought in three top players and added new contracts. We are well placed to challenge for trophies.
“These are very exciting times for Manchester United and we are excited for the season ahead and the future.”
