Jose Mourinho has revealed he will play Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford together during Manchester United’s pre-season fixtures.
The pair each played a half in United’s win over LA Galaxy over the weekend.
Rashford showed his ability to play as a central striker after bagging two goals in 45 minutes of action.
With the need to also play £75m signing Lukaku, Mourinho believes pairing them up front could be successful.
“Today [Rashford] was in a different team than Lukaku. But in this pre-season we will also try both in the same team which I think can also work,” said Mourinho after the 5-2 victory.
