The agent of Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is hoping to drive a local Cheshire club into the Football League.
Football agent Paul Stretford has set his sights on helping former club Rylands achieve promotion to the Football League.
Does my work as an agent have any longevity? Probably not,” Stretford told the BBC. “With Rylands I can create a legacy.
For Rylands to achieve such a feat they would need to secure seven promotions with millions of pounds of funding necessary to facilitate such a journey.
“Why not aim for the Football League? There is no point setting a target we could achieve tomorrow,” added Stretford.
“It might take 10 years, or 20. It might not happen in my lifetime. But you have to aim for the stars.”
