Massimiliano Allegri admits Manchester United target Paul Pogba’s future is unclear but insists Juventus will be able to manage without the midfielder.

United continue to chase their former youth product Pogba in a move which is certain to break the transfer record.

And Juve boss Allegri has confirmed talks are ongoing between the two clubs.

“Pogba is a Juventus player at the moment but we don’t know what is going to happen,” Allegri said ahead of his side’s pre-season clash with Melbourne Victory. “The club are looking after negotiations.”

However, the Italian believes the Turin giants will cope with the loss of the France international, having already signed Miralem Pjanic from Roma and Marko Pjaca from Dinamo Zagreb.

“Marko Pjaca is another quality addition for us so whatever happens with Pogba, we will be in good shape,” he added.

Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain, meanwhile, is understood to be undergoing a medical with Juve ahead of a big-money move from Napoli.
