Arsenal legend Ray Parlour says Manchester United should hand the manager’s job to Ryan Giggs.
United’s defeat to FC Midtjylland on Thursday evening increased calls for Louis van Gaal to be replaced, with their hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League dwindling.
Parlour says the United hierarchy should look to Giggs for the rest of the season.
“If I was United I would take a gamble,” he explained. “Get rid of Van Gaal and put Giggs in charge until the end of the season. See how it goes with him.
“Giggs could be a very good manager. Guardiola started young at 38 – will Giggs get the opportunity?”
