Former Chelsea star Michael Ballack says Germany need Bastian Schweinsteiger at the Euros.
The midfielder suffered a knee setback last week and it’s feared he could be out for the rest of the season.
Ballack wrote in the Telegraph: “Germany are lacking in leadership. We saw it in qualifying when they struggled in some matches and lost to Poland and Ireland.
“Characters like (Phillipp) Lahm and Schweinsteiger are rare, which is why I think he should go to France even if he’s not fully fit.
“There’s no chance he’ll be at his best given his age and the injuries he’s had at Manchester United this season, but he should go anyway.”
