Bologna striker Mattia Destro has revealed he would consider joining Manchester United if Jose Mourinho was appointed as manager this summer.
Mourinho is expected by many to take over from Louis van Gaal at season’s end, should the Red Devils fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Destro, who has scored eight goals this campaign, worked under the former Chelsea boss when the pair were both at Serie A giants Inter Milan in the early part of the 24-year-old’s career.
“When I was a youth at Inter I played with great stars and working with a coach like Mourinho allowed me to mature a lot,” Destro told Sky Sport Italia.
“If Mourinho called me about going to [Manchester] United, if I found myself in that situation, then I would have to think about it.”
