Bryan Robson believes Manchester United should not be too hasty in making their decision on Louis van Gaal.
The future of Van Gaal remains in doubt as the Red Devils vie for a Champions League place with many past Old Trafford stars calling for the head of the Dutchman.
Robson is leaning towards the arrival of a new manager in the summer but feels Van Gaal should be given every chance to state his case to the board at the end of the season.
“It’s okay us ex-players sitting in front of a camera and saying what we would do, but the only thing that matters is what the owners and the board of directors are going to do,” he told Sky Sports.
“Whether that’s the manager still being here going into next season, what I will say is, let’s get to the end of the season and assess everything that we have and haven’t achieved, and then we make those decisions.”
