Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is out of Manchester United’s tour of China.
The Manchester Evening News says the 19-year-old has suffered a slight injury blow and been left at home.
They add that the defender should be fit to play in Wayne Rooney’s testimonial against Everton on August 3 or the Community Shield meeting with Premier League champions Leicester on August 7.
Borthwick-Jackson broke into United’s first-team last season under Louis van Gaal, making 14 appearances in all competitions.
He was named the club’s Under-21 Player of the Year for last term and has since been rewarded with a new four-year contract.
