With Manchester United just one match away from a semi-final tie at Wembley Stadium, David De Gea and Marouane Fellaini are excited at the prospect, though are wary of West Ham United.

United’s number one goalkeeper produced an exquisite performance against Liverpool to keep the Red Devils hopes of overturning the 2-0 deficit alive, making a string of key saves and was by far United’s best player on the night.

On the prospect of appearing at Wembley, he told United’s official website: “To play there is a really good experience, as it is a stadium with a lot of history of big games and trophies- hopefully we will be there.”

De Gea also insisted that United should be challenging for the big trophies because of the size of the club, he continued: “For a club like Manchester United, we always try to win everything.

“We have to give everything to win a trophy and that’s what we want-we’ll try to do our best to win a trophy and make it a good season.”

Though De Gea is focused on Wembley he is mindful that United must overcome West Ham, a side who are above United in the Premier League and have already beaten Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City away from home this season.

De Gea said: “We know West Ham are a really good team, but we have to reach Wembley to be in the semi-final, and I think it’s a good moment to win this game.”

United go into the game looking to prevent three consecutive defeats after losing to West Bromwich Albion before they were well beaten by Liverpool.

United midfielder Marouane Fellaini knows that United must improve if they are to progress in the FA Cup, he said: “We didn’t do (enough) against Liverpool, but now we have to focus on the next game.”

“We have a big game against West Ham in the FA Cup before a second challenge against Liverpool.”
