Dutch FA want Louis Van Gaal to rebuild Holland national team

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly being pursued by the Netherlands to become the next technical director of the Dutch Football Association.

The Independent is reporting Van Gaal is considering stepping down from his post with the Red Devils at season’s end in order to take charge at the Netherlands’ new centre of excellence, the Zeist Campus, set to be completed this summer.

Van Gaal still has one-year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, but with United in danger of missing out on Champions League qualification it is possible the club and manager may agree to part ways at the end of the current Premier League campaign.

Van Gaal lead the Netherlands to the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and has a strong friendship with current national team manager Danny Blind.
