England boss Roy Hodgson has refused to rule out the shock inclusion of Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford in his squad for Euro2016.
The 18-year-old recently shot to fame after scoring four goals in his first two senior appearances for the Red Devils but Hodgson claims that he has been tracking the youngster, who also plays for England U-18s, for the past two years.
“I would neither rule him in or rule him out,” said Hodgson.
“I’ve been watching Rashford for two years. He plays for the under-18 team, so we are delighted players we believe in and who we think have got a bright future are getting chances.
“Scoring four goals in three games is a great achievement and if he can keep that up, it is great for Manchester United and England.
“Last time I was with our national coaches we were talking in particular about the under-19 squad, which is competing for another major tournament, and Rashford’s name was mentioned.”
