England coach Roy Hodgson says Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw could make his Euros squad.
Shaw suffered a horrific double leg break at PSV Eindhoven on September 15 and is not expected to return until the back end of the season.
But Hodgson, speaking at a Euro 2016 coaches’ workshop in Paris on Thursday, issued a positive bulletin about the 20-year-old and Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, who has not played this campaign due to a fractured fibula.
“We are still monitoring Luke, he is making good progress, we are monitoring Jack , who is making very good progress,” said Three Lions boss Hodgson.
“But we have to accept in we won’t have those players for the friendlies with Germany and Holland this month.
“Hopefully in May, when I have to make a decision, they will be available for selection.”
