I was the right person to take Manchester United job – David Moyes

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes insists he deserved to replace Sir Alex Ferguson as Red Devils boss, but suffered the consequences of not qualifying the club for the Champions League.

Moyes took over at Old Trafford from United legend Ferguson in 2013, but was sacked before the end of his first season in charge as the Red Devils finished in seventh place on the Premier League ladder.
“If you go to Manchester United, that’s what you get. You get an awful lot of media attention. But I still believe I was the right person to take the job.” The Scotsman said.

“I know that the reason I lost my job at Manchester United was I didn’t win enough games. It’s as simple as that.”
