Zlatan Ibrahimovic is all about winning trophies and plans to do more of the same after helping Manchester United lift one on Sunday.
The Swedish superstar scored an 81st-minute winner as United defeated Leicester City 2-1 in the Community Shield and after clinching the 31st title of his career, Ibrahimovic is eager to get his hands on more.
“It feels good. First official game, we play for the trophy and we win, that’s what it’s all about, winning trophies,” he told BT Sport.
“This is my 31st trophy, collective trophy, and I’m super happy. This is why I came and hopefully I can win much more than this.”
He added: “It was a difficult game, we played against a good team, the champions from last season, and you can see it’s a very strong team.
“Our team is something big going on, we’re at the beginning, but we begin with a trophy, so it’s a good start.”
Jesse Lingard gave United a first-half lead with a fine individual goal before Jamie Vardy pounced on a Marouane Fellaini error early in the second half to draw Leicester level, prior to Ibrahimovic’s headed winner from Antonio Valencia’s cross.
