Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has revealed Sir Alex Ferguson called him after they won the Premier League title last season.
The Foxes meet Manchester United in the Community Shield tomorrow.
“There were other managers who called me but I will name Ferguson because he doesn’t work in the game now,” said Ranieri.
“It is great because I have never won a title before. I have been runner-up, but now I have won a title my career can start. I never gave up, I always believed in myself.
“I think that if one man really wants to achieve, then a man can achieve. But now I want more and we take this match very seriously. It is no friendly and we will give it the maximum.
“Manchester United will also. It will be a true match to win the trophy. It is my first time at Wembley, so I am very excited.”
