Louis van Gaal has revealed that youngster Donald Love will be handed his first ever Manchester United start in the Europa League clash against FC Midtjylland.
Love made his Premier League debut after coming on for the injured Matteo Darmian in the 2-1 defeat against Sunderland last weekend.
With Darmian remaining sidelined, Van Gaal has revealed that the 21-year-old full-back is in line to make his first start for United in the Round of 32 first leg encounter against Danish champions Midtjylland on Thursday night.
The United boss revealed: “They have played in the league, FA Cup and Europe, and that helps you develop more than playing for the reserves.
“We have young players sitting on the bench and my belief is they can all play. For example, tomorrow’s right-back has only played one game for us.”
