Luke Shaw is set to start for Manchester United in today’s friendly against Wigan Athletic.
Shaw will make his long-awaited comeback today – 10 months after suffering a horror double leg break, says the Mirror.
The 21-year-old has since made a full recovery and is ready to show how far he has come by starting the first game of the Mourinho era at United.
Mourinho sees Shaw as his first-choice left-back, despite the player’s lengthy enforced lay-off, and wants him to start United’s Premier League opener at Bournemouth on August 14.
With Shaw now back in full training and understood to be experiencing no injury issues, there is a belief he can start the new campaign with a full pre-season behind him.
