Under-fire Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted he may be sacked if the Red Devils lose their fourth round FA Cup tie against Derby County on Friday night.
The Dutchman has ruled out the possibility of resigning as United manager, despite pressure continuing to build amid the club’s below par campaign to date.
However, Van Gaal conceded the decision may be taken out of his hands if United fail to progress pass Championship outfit Derby on Friday.
“Now I cannot lose any more, because then I am condemned for the fourth time that I have been sacked,” Van Gaal told reporters ahead of the fixture.
“Then maybe you will have written the truth, because sometimes it happens.”
