Louis van Gaal is capable of getting Manchester United out of their current mire.
That is the opinion of Stoke City manager Mark Hughes who believes the Dutchman has enough experience at top clubs to weather the storm and restore sanity at Old Trafford.
Van Gaal is under immense pressure after failing to produce a win in six matches in all competitions but his Potters counterpart Hughes is confident he will get past this difficult time.
“Louis van Gaal has got a fantastic CV,” said Hughes.
“You look at the clubs he has dealt with, he’s understood those demands for many years.
“He’s been at Barcelona, Bayern Munich, top clubs across Europe, and he’s ended up at Manchester United as a consequence of the clubs that he’s had on his CV and the success he’s had.
“He knows what he needs to do but he’s in that period of transition that needs navigating to get through the other side. A bit of flux maybe.”
