Antonio Valencia is set to make his Manchester United comeback at Europa League opponents Liverpool.
The Ecuadorian has been absent since October after undergoing surgery on a serious foot injury, sustained during a stalemate with Manchester City.
United boss Louis van Gaal said: “Antonio Valencia is coming back, Bastian Schweinsteiger is also coming back. I think a lot of players will return in March.
“But when they come back, it’s easy to decide whether they can cope with the rhythm of the match.
“They are fit enough train with us but Schweinsteiger has only had one training session while Valencia has had a week.
“Valencia is much closer. He is ready to be on the bench, but 90 minutes – I don’t think so.”
