Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hints fans won’t see a lot of Eric Bailly in the opening weeks of the new season.
Mourinho handed the former Villarreal defender a start in today’s friendly at Wigan Athletic.
The manager told MUTV before kickoff: “Bailly? It is the first time he wears a heavy shirt like the Manchester United shirt.
“He can’t speak English, so he only communicates with those who are French or Spanish speakers. So for him, it’s step by step.
“That’s a reason why I will give him more than 45 minutes. He’s one I want to give 65-70 minutes. He needs to play. He needs to feel it. And he needs to start communicating.”
