Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is pleased with the goalscoring form of Anthony Martial.
Martial joined at 19, and has since turned 20 – performing to such a consistently high level. He has been a breathe of fresh air and arguably United’s best player this season.
The French forward has scored in United’s last two matches, taking his total for the season to 12.
“He is carrying a lot of the goal-scoring responsibility,” said Van Gaal. “But he’s also in the position to score goals.
“You would not expect he would play every match this season but I expect him to score a lot.”
The Dutchman added: “We are still capable of finishing in the first four.
“Now, this game at City is very important because we are four points behind.”
