Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has urged Anthony Martial to fight for his place in the starting line up.
The French International only made 18 Premier League starts last season scoring 9 goals in total. Jose Mourinho has questioned Martial’s attitude after failing to report back to pre-season camp in the States after he sought permission to attend the birth of his son in Paris.
Mourinho confirmed that Martial was fined in his Friday Presser and Giggs who scouted the 22-year-old hopes the attacker uses this season to prove his worth and start afresh.
He said, “I hope Anthony Martial comes back and fights for his team and once the transfer window closes in Europe then hopefully he will be able to concentrate on his football.
“We have seen glances of his qualities, which are definitely there.
“But it’s up to him to prove he deserves a starting place again.”
