Manchester United legend Paul Scholes feels West Ham will finish off his old club in their FA Cup replay after yesterday’s 1-1 draw.
Scholes, who was hugely critical of Louis van Gaal’s outfit in the aftermath of their 2-0 defeat at Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday, felt his former club controlled much of the game but he still believes West Ham have the upper hand going into the return fixture at Upton Park.
Speaking on BT Sport, he said: “I think it was important they (United) got some kind of result today and they did that with a draw. I still have to make West Ham slight favourites going to their place.
“That final bit of quality was just missing but I thought they played alright. They controlled possession like they usually do at Old Trafford and I’m certain the fair result was definitely the draw.”
