Jose Mourinho praises ‘phenomenal’ Pogba

Jose Mourinho has hailed Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba as ‘phenomenal’.

The French midfielder starred in United’s 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday. However, he was sent off after a stamp on Hector Bellerin with 16 minutes remaining in the match.

He will now miss United’s next three Premier league matches to go along with the previous seven he missed through a hamstring injury.

Despite his absence this season, Pogba has managed to garner three goals and seven assists in his eight league appearances, and Mourinho has been pleased with his form during the second season of his stint at United after arriving from Juventus last summer.

“He is very happy to play tomorrow,” Mourinho said ahead of the Red Devils Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.

“It is the next match so it is the match that matters.

“Of course he is a bit tired because it was a huge match last weekend and he has just two days to recover for CSKA but he is very happy to play tomorrow and try to keep his momentum.

“Since he came back from injury he has been phenomenal.”
