Manchester United youngster Axel Tuanzebe is planning to make strides towards the first-team under manager Jose Mourinho.
The 18-year-old defender caught everyone’s attention when Mourinho claimed that he took only 10 minutes to realise the youngster’s potential.
Tuanzebe, who impressed the Portuguese manager with his performance in the friendly against Wigan Athletic, has travelled with the United squad for their pre-season tour of China.
“This is my opportunity now,” he told manutd.com.
“Last year, I missed a couple of months due to injury but now I can start afresh, give it a good go and try to stick with the first team.”
When asked about the praise from Mourinho, the centre-back said: “To have your manager backing you so strongly is a positive sign and my aim now is just to keep impressing and striving towards my goals.”
