Manchester United have struck terms with Benfica for midfielder Renato Sanches.
Record says United have reached ‘a gentleman’s agreement’ with the Portuguese club to take him to Manchester this summer.
However, no fee has been agreed and since making his debut Sanches has signed a new five-year contract at Benfica.
The deal includes a release clause of around £62million but Benfica are said to be willing to sell for closer to £47m.
With Juventus also reportedly interested in the player, United may be forced to match that figure although up to a third of that fee are reportedly expected to be add-ons in a deal similar to that which brought Anthony Martial to Old Trafford.
