Anthony Martial is the latest Manchester United player to have succumbed to injury.
The 20-year-old suffered a hamstring problem in the warm-up prior to the Europa League Round of 32 second left tie with the Danish side FC Midtjylland on which the Red Devils emerged 5-1 winners.
Boss Louis van Gaal is hoping that the Frenchman won’t be missing for too long.
“I think he is smart and wise to step out, because it was not a rupture, it was a tight hamstring.”
“I don’t think it is very heavy,” said the Dutchman.
United now have 15 players on the injury list following young striker Will Keane’s groin issue which was sustained on Monday in the FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town along with Martial’s problem which allowed teenager Marcus Rashford to make his senior debut which yielded two goals against Midtjylland.
