Mourinho furious with Pogba after Wolves draw

Jose Mourinho was furious with Paul Pogba in the changing room after Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Wolves on Saturday, according to reports.

Despite the Red Devils taking the lead through Fred, they couldn’t hold on for three points as Joao Moutinho scored after the interval to grab a share of the spoils for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

The Sun claims that Mourinho gave Pogba a dressing down after the Frenchman lost possession in the lead up to Moutinho’s equaliser in the 53rd-minute.

It is understood that Mourinho insisted Pogba has to concentrate more so that he doesn’t cost United any more goals in the future.

It has been a tough start to the season for Mourinho and his United players, with arch-rivals Liverpool already sitting eight points ahead of them at the top of the Premier League after only six matches.

After the match, Pogba appeared to criticise his manager’s negative tactics by saying they need to “attack” more at Old Trafford.

“We are at home and we should play much better against Wolves,” Pogba said.

“When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We are here to attack.

“I think teams are scared when they see Man United attacking and attacking. That was our mistake.

“Maybe the attitude should be better and we should play better because, again, we are at Old Trafford and we should just attack and press like we did against Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal last season.

“When we play like this it’s easier for us.”

Meanwhile, Mourinho questioned the players attitude after giving away the equaliser on Saturday.

“It is a situation where the players knew perfectly that they press in midfield,” Mourinho said.

“You don’t have much time to have the ball, to turn, to one-touch. You know you don’t have much of that.

“So you concede in a situation that it’s harder to accept.

“That is one goal you concede. You have 90 minutes to show a different attitude and I think we have to do better.”
