Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney says that the experience that the United players experienced last season in the FA Cup will prepare them for the battle with Derby County at the iPro Stadium on Friday evening.
United travel to Derby on Friday evening for their tricky fourth round clash on the back of yet another disappointing result at home to Southampton in the Premier League, and they will also be mindful of how tricky it was to get through their last round tie against Sheffield United where it took a stoppage time penalty from the skipper to send them through.
Rooney expects a hostile atmosphere at Derby on Friday night.
“We know, as we’ve played there before, that it will be a difficult game with a good atmosphere” as the fans will see it as a big opportunity for their team to get the big scalp of United in the FA Cup.
“I’m sure they will be really up for it with their crowd and we will be up for it as we’ve experienced these games”
