Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to come out of retirement should Manchester United sack Louis van Gaal.
The People says Fergie has no intention of getting back in the dugout if Van Gaal is given the boot.
But they claim he would be prepared to take a hands-on role behind the scenes as an advisor to Ryan Giggs if United chiefs think it’s too early for the Welshman to go it alone.
Giggs has served as No2 to Van Gaal but despite being seen as the United boss in waiting, he has no managerial experience.
But since helping David Moyes get the job to replace him, it’s reported that he’s effectively been excluded from helping making more big decisions.
