Former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic supports their summer tour of China.
United have confirmed they will face fierce rivals Manchester City in Beijing on July 25.
The game will follow a clash with Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on July 22 as United tour China for the second time in three years.
“I have to say the amount of energy we got from the fans [in China in 2007] was unbelievable,” Vidic said.
“I look back on that pre-season with great memories before the 2007/08 season because that was one of the most successful seasons in my career at United and my career as a whole.”
That year, Vidic won the second of his five Premier League titles and also lifted the Champions League trophy after a memorable penalty shootout win over Chelsea in Moscow.
“I think its great news we’re coming on tour to China,” Vidic added.
“We have so many followers in the country, over 100 million fans and it’s good to visit them and spend some time with them.
“They’re really passionate about United.”
