Willian has expressed his desire to reunite with “the best manager I've ever worked with” in Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho signed Willian for Chelsea in August 2013, with the Brazilian becoming one of the manager’s most trusted lieutenants.
The pair shared a positive, title-winning relationship even after Mourinho was sacked at Stamford Bridge in December 2015, and have spoken glowingly of one another since.
Willian seemed to put an end to speculation over a move to Mourinho's Manchester United earlier this week, but has fueled the rumours once more after praising his former boss.
“I’m a Chelsea player,” Willian told ESPN Brasil.
“I always made it clear that what I wanted was to stay in the club. The only club I knew that really made an official offer for me was Barcelona.
“I don’t know if there was any official bid [from Manchester United], but some things have happened.
“Mourinho is the best manager I’ve ever worked with. We have a good relationship, we are friends.
“Sometimes we talk, we text, we send messages to each other via WhatsApp. He is a great manager, I really enjoyed working with him. I hope I can work with him again someday.
“Also, everything comes out on the internet, too. But Mourinho talks to my agent all the time, he says ‘bring him, bring him’.
“No, he has never called me, but he always sends me text messages.
“I have my head here and I intend to continue in the club unless the club wants to sell me. But my head is here in the club.
“I also like living in London, it is an amazing city, and my family is well adapted. So yeah, I intend to stay at Chelsea.”
