Everton boss Koeman admits deal for Man Utd attacker Mata 'possible'

Everton boss Ronald Koeman admits he’s interested in Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata.

The Spaniard’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt following the arrival of Jose Mourinho.

Everton, backed by billionaire shareholder Farhad Moshiri, have been heavily linked with the 28-year-old, who has appeared more than 100 times for United and scored 26 goals.

And when asked by fans whether a deal for Mata was on the cards, Koeman said: “Yes, it is possible.”

Everton have so far made one signing in the transfer window with the arrival of Maarten Stekelenburg.
