Manchester United are eyeing West Ham defender Reece Oxford.
The London Evening Standard says Oxford wasn’t exactly a household name at the start of the season but burst onto the scene with a superb opening day display against Arsenal at the Emirates.
The teenager took the occasion in his stride and helped Slaven Bilic’s side pull off an unlikely victory over the Gunners back in August.
Oxford has made a total of three top-flight appearances this term after slipping back down the pecking order once more established members of the Hammers’ squad returned to fitness, but he’s caught Manchester United’s eye.
The defender is expected to sign a new two-and-a-half year deal at Upton Park when he turns 17 later this month but the Red Devils are preparing an £8m January bid in an attempt to secure the youngster’s services.
