Manchester United and PSG have informed Real Madrid they’re willing to take James Rodriguez off their hands.
However, Don Balon says both big spending giants insist they won’t go higher than €40 million for the Colombia international.
James’ agent, Jorge Mendes, is close to both clubs and has held extensive talks about placing his client away from Madrid.
Real coach Zinedine Zidane would be happy to see James sold, though president Florentino Perez is reluctant to lose the attacker for less than the €80 million he paid AS Monaco for the player.
West Ham, meanwhile, have also made contact with sources claiming they’d be willing to go to €80 million for James.
The Hammers’ interest has sparked talk of a swap involving Dimitri Payet, who counts Zidane among his high-profile fans.
