Manchester United are close to signing of 20-year-old Mexico international Hirving Lozano.
The Red Devils are understood to have been scouting the player for months.
Now Lozano’s father-in-law has claimed the Mexico international will head to Manchester after Mexico compete to retain their Olympic gold medal.
‚ÄúYes. It‚Äôs all done, just missing some details and after the Olympics, the deal will become official,‚ÄĚ Lozano‚Äôs father-in-law told Futbol Entre Lineas.
Lozano made four appearances for his country in last month’s Copa America in the United States, where they were knocked out 7-0 by eventual winners Chile.
According to reports from ESPN in March, Lozano reportedly drew interest from several other clubs, including Real Sociedad, Schalke 04 and Porto.
United have had a busy summer so far, with Mourinho securing the signings of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while the club are closing in on Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
