Zlatan Ibrahimovic will leave Manchester United this week before joining a Major League Soccer club, according to reports.
The Swedish striker was expected to leave the Red Devils in the summer, having only played seven times this season.
The 36-year-old last featured for Jose Mourinho’s side in the 2-2 draw with Burnley on Boxing Day.
Ibrahimovic has been strongly linked with a move to MLS side LA Galaxy, where he would surely receive a hero’s welcome after a glittering career with some of Europe’s biggest teams.
With his contract at Old Trafford set to end at the end of the season, it was widely reported he would wait to move on until then.
But now, according to ESPN, the striker is set to leave United this week ahead of a move to the United States.
